The Golf Grip

The all important V in the golf grip, as shown above!!  However, you can slightly open or close the right hand slightly to adjust to your golf swing, to address a hook or slice problem.  Over adjusting will cause more problems, and is not suggested!!!

Get started right with your golf game, by gripping the club properly.  You can certainly have minor variations, but it is essential that your golf grip is the proper one, like the photos below show.

You will notice the last photo to the right, shows the completed grip from a back angle, and that being a overlapping grip.  One in which the last finger of the right hand overlaps between the first and second fingers of the left hand (for right handed golfers).  This is one of three grips.  The other two are the baseball grip and the interlocking grip.  All other facets of the golf grip are the same as indicated in the other photos.  We are just talking about the last finger of the right hand and the connection to the left hand.

In the baseball grip, this finger does not overlap, but simply butts up snuggly to the left hand, whereas in the interlocking grip, the last finger on the right hand interlock with the first finger of the left hand!!
